We had a crazy couple of weeks... On the last weekend of August, we spied a great two level, three bedroom townhome a half mile from our current location at about the same price we were paying for our two bedroom apartment. Read: Great Deal!!
My nesting instincts took over and went into overdrive and I somehow convinced Derek that this is where we needed to be. He's such a sport!! Less than 24 hours after viewing the property, we put a big deposit down and signed a year long contract on the place with a move-in date only SIX days later - over Labor Day weekend. Eeek!
So we had to find movers (on one of the busiest moving weekends of the year), buy boxes and packing materials, pack all of our belongings, update addresses, keep me on my nightly ice cream schedule and find a renter for our current apartment all in less than a week. It must have been meant to be because all of the pieces gingerly slid into place and the pack and move went off without a hitch even with me at 35 week pregnant. If Derek and I can survive a week like that and manage to enjoy the experience, then we are in a good postion to bring little one into the world!
