Where all the "cool" parents hide...

We spent a big part of our weekend outside enjoying the wonderful low humidity weather. Greta got pool time in on both Saturday and Sunday - in fact, Christian came over to swim with her too! Daddy also dunked her under water for the first time - she didn't cry but wasn't all that happy about it :)

Saturday evening we met Misty, Tim and Christian at a wine and beer tasting at a small community market near their home in north Arlington. The market also hosts outdoor entertainment and homemade BBQ on the tasting nites.

The tasting was supposed to be a pit stop on our errands list for the day. But after we saw how many other parents and kids came to the event, we ended up hanging out and enjoyed the food, families and festivities for a couple hours. We met some really cool parents who just a few years ago were hip single folks.

It's hard to find families who can still enjoy a laidback weekend and are happy to meet other parents in this area. Arlington is just not like that - but it seems we discovered the mother-lode of cool parents at the market event.
