Foodie Fantasy Nite!

Friday has been designated as parents night out. It's been at least a month since we have had any non-Greta night time activities, so we are overdue.

I am very excited about our evening out - we actually have dinner reservations which is a complete anomaly from past outings where we would pick a place to eat on our way out the door after the sitter arrived.

We are heading to Chef Art Smith's restaurant, Art & Soul, in DC.
Smith is two-time James Beard award winning chef who is currently appearing on Bravo's Top Chef Masters. Smith also has a Chicago-based restaurant, Table Fifty-Two, and once worked as Oprah Winfrey’s personal chef. So this is a big deal for us foodies. We will be sure to take food pics and do a full critic afterward.

A special Greta-related note about Smith is that he also runs a program called Baby food for the Soul. This class is geared for families interested in this economical and healthy way to start feeding their babies by learning about the benefits of making homemade baby food, including the unexpected ingredients that are most beneficial to children such as lavender and cayenne.
We missed the window for the summer class but really what a cool concept?
