Ripple effect

We are not talking about waves and water here....

More like Greta's lingering sickness...

On Monday, she was prescribed antibiotics for her ear infection and ibuprofen for her fever. We kept her home on Monday and Tuesday.

On Wednesday, she went back to the sitter, when I picked her up, the sitter told me she had white specks in her mouth and was not eating. Eeek!

Derek took her to the doctor on Thursday morning to find out that the antibiotics gave her thrush. Instead of giving me a different anti/b that may be easier on her system, they gave us medication to treat the thrush and said she could go to daycare - so he took her. The sitter called me at 2pm the same day to take her home because she was not eating or sleeping.

Now she is on three medications and starts wailing anytime she sees any bottle with a eyedropper top. Intuitive kid!

It seems that by following certain treatments or medications for your child's illness, it can also have a ripple effect on your child's health - how much is too much?

On a fun note, Greta did attend her first pool party at Brian and Renata's this past weekend and had a super time , view the pics!
