June 21st was both Greta's nine month birthday and Derek's first father's day - so it was all about them!In the a.m., Derek woke up with the thought of McD's breakfast in mind - he even ran out and picked up our chicken and sausage biscuits so we could leisure at home and let the Gret's wear herself out with playtime.
Then, Greta gave him the gift she picked out at her favorite store in Clarendon, South Moon Under.
After breakfast, we took our weekly trip to BRU and Target to pick up more food and drink for lil one. We also splurged on some more summer outfits since Derek has realized that at 9 months, PJ's are not always the proper attire for baby outings.
We had a late lunch at Rocklands BBQ and were not surprised to see many other families enjoying the same - I bet the place is not nearly as packed on Mother's Day:D
Later Derek, played some hockey while Greta and I walked to Shirlington where I fed her dinner en plein aire. It was a welcome change of pace.

Dad's Day continues tonight with dinner since we really did not have dinner on Sunday. We are grilling out a marinated flank steak with roasted potatoes and asparagus.
