Co-habitating with a spider monkey

Greta has quickly phased from the sweet, adorable "monchichi" stage into the all out wild animal stage.

She is eager to explore, climb, disorganize and destroy just about anything she comes in contact with. She pulls hair, throws food and screams baby talk at the top of her lungs.

She can hoist herself up onto the toilet (seat down luckily), ratchet her way up onto my bed to visit kitty and dart across the sectional L-shaped sofa while simultaneously tumbling all of the cushions to the ground.

Other parents did not warn me that life with an active toddler is most similar to living in a closed space with a spider monkey. I need to read up on wild animal behavior instead of paging thru the latest child development book...

Forget playdates - I am planning to take her to the DC Zoo soon to see some of her own kind.
