That's how many need replaced in my Mom's heart. She is having coronary artery bypass surgery today.

She is happy about this.

Why?

Because she has been living on borrowed time and didn't even know it. She has 99% blockage of her arteries and more than one doctor in the past 24 hours has told her that for all intents and purposes she should not be alive. Let alone working and taking care of her visiting grand children.

So, yes, she is thrilled to have open heart surgery today so she can start recovering and then begin relishing every moment of life. The doctors say that she'll feel better than ever.

She is a lucky woman with a caring heart. It just needs mending.
